David Kirsten is having difficulty understanding this: For just about every other Olympic event, it's "Hey, just missed out on the gold, but whoo! A silver medal for the US!" For the just-ended hocked game, winning the silver feels about the same as losing the Super Bowl. Yeah, whoopie that you made it into the title game, but it doesn't feel like you took 2nd place in an Olympic event. And you could see it in their faces.
